Overview

NJ MVC Prep ("we", "our", or "the app") is a study companion for the New Jersey driver knowledge test. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the mobile app or visit this website, and how that information is used.

We designed the app to collect as little personal information as possible. You do not need an account to use NJ MVC Prep.

Information we collect

Information stored on your device

The app saves study content, quiz progress, and settings locally on your phone or tablet so you can study offline. This may include:

• Quiz answers and scores
• In-progress quiz sessions
• Theme and language preferences
• Cached preparation guides, road signs, and quiz questions
• The date of the last content sync

This data stays on your device unless you clear the app cache or reset quiz progress from Settings.

Information collected automatically

When the app connects to our content servers to sync study material, basic technical information may be processed, such as your device type, app version, and standard request logs needed to deliver content reliably.

We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or driver license details to use the app.

Advertising

NJ MVC Prep uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob and its partners may collect or receive information from your device, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and usage data, to serve and measure ads.

You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's partner sites policy. On supported devices, you may also be able to limit ad tracking through your system settings.

Third-party services

The app relies on the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob for advertising
• Our content API hosted at nj-mvc-prep-quiz.vercel.app for study material updates

These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum information needed for those services to function.

This website

This landing page is a static website. We do not use contact forms, analytics cookies, or account sign-in on this site. If you email us, we will use your message only to respond to your inquiry.

Children's privacy

NJ MVC Prep is intended for users preparing for a driver knowledge test. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Data retention and security

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server logs, if any, are kept only as long as needed for operation and security.

We use reasonable technical measures to protect content delivery, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices

• Clear cached content from Settings in the app
• Reset quiz progress from Settings in the app
• Adjust ad personalization through your device privacy settings
• Uninstall the app to remove locally stored data

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
